Residency Program
This residency program was started in 1997 beginning with approval for 3 PGYII and 3 PGYIII residents. The program has grown and improved in each of the past 5 years. An internship was started in 2002 to allow for a full 3 year training program in Family Medicine. We accept up to 4 interns and we are now approved for 4 PGYII and 4 PGYIII. These combined programs are accredited by the AOA and OMECO. Program affords much "hands on" opportunity to manage patients in the hospital and clinic settings. Program affords abundant opportunity for gaining experience in obstetrics (up to and including performing your own C-sections). Training in Information Technologies and Office Managment provided by seasoned instructors. One advantage of this program is the lack of competing residency programs. "You do it all!"
Salaries for interns and residents are competitive:
Additional benefits include health insurance, a moving allowance, pagers, personalized lab coats, 2 weeks vacation, sick leave, paid professional dues, and a book allowance. Each Intern / Resident is provided a state of the art Wireless Laptop Computer which is given to the resident at the completion of the program. (Yours to keep.)
